Cakes-giving...

Whew! It was a busy weekend and it's going to be an even busier week. Here's a peek at some of the treats I made and delivered to Omaha on Saturday. Upon delivery a fight broke out among this normally friendly family over who got to eat what. Imagine the pandemonium that breaks out over a cake buffet for 150!

Rachel's 24th birthday is November 24. Doesn't that make it her golden birthday or something? I'm hoping I can get through airport security with a mini birthday cake. I guess they can just x-ray it, right? Shhhhh! You'll have to look for the design in next week's blog.

Looking further ahead, on Monday, November 30, I'll be judging this year's entries in the annual Gingerbread Lane contest benefitting CCVI. You can see all the gingerbread house entries on Thursday evening, December 3, during Gingerbread Lane at the Crestwood Shops. Can't make it that night? Houses are on display all week at most of the shops. And if you're just being a Scrooge and don't want to go out in the cold, I'll update you about the winners on my blog.

And please, remember to eat cake responsibly. Always brush after eating sweets!

Happy Thanksgiving!
